366TAS: 3:03 – The Bird and the Bee – Private Eyes

Why yes, this IS a cover of the Hall and Oates hit single, “Private Eyes.” In fact, the Bird and the Bee put out an album a couple years ago that was nothing but Hall and Oates covers. Every track that I heard from it was excellent.

In a minor programming note, I might start throwing up more short posts like this. Not every time, artist or song has an interesting story, commentary or notable bit of information that I can associate with it. It’s going to be faster and easier for me to just offer some tracks with little comment, allowing me to a) more easily stay up-to-date and b) post other stuff on this site besides the countup. Ultimately, that’s the goal, so let’s see if we can work toward that, okay? Cool.

I liked that Bird & The Bee album; I think “I Can’t Go For That” was my favorite song, although the non-Hall & Oates “Heard It On The Radio” was pretty good, too. I’ve got the Only Ones’ late-’70s new wave classic (later covered by the Replacements and Blink-182) “Another Girl, Another Planet”:
